Inside Look On The Cross’ Manager

On the third Volume, Jake Cross’ manager Jason Gates, will make his inaugural appearance on Render Wrestling broadcast. Jason Gates found himself with the Iron Cross (now known as the Cross) through Jake Cross. In the arena where Volume One took place, Gates was said to be backstage, along with Jake Cross before his tag team match. Jason Gates made a deal with Jake, that alongside him, Cross would be able to mold Render Wrestling in his image, and make his name known for years to come. Cross agreed, and the partnership was official. This means that while he is managing the Cross, he's still only the official manager of Jake. As far as I know, Denis and Jason have yet to come to any agreement, and it looks as if Jason Gates is only interested in managing Jake Cross. Although this is speculation, it may be because both Gates and Cross are similar, as both are, unhinged, or “insane”, if you will.

Jason Gates is a mad man. He's not concerned with the well being of others, and has one goal right now: keep the Cross at the top. Gates doesn't compete himself, as he's uninterested, believing that his career path has been decided. Originally not doing much, he decided to seek someone to help. He wanted to give someone else as much success as he believed he would have had, or so he says. The more likely reason for this, is that he wants to cause more people to be like him. In other words, Gates wants to spread his insanity to the rest of Render Wrestling, like a disease almost.

The Cross are almost complete opposites. Jake Cross, a lunatic. Unpredictable, you never know what he's going to do next, whether it be hitting a Cross Cutter out of nowhere, or let it be his Crossbreaker, the Back Suplex Neckbreaker, that's bound to put away anybody. Denis Ryley on the other hand, is disciplined, and always wants to entertain the fans, but nonetheless getting the job done with moves like the Ryley's Law, and the Bicycle Knee Strike. These two were brought together because of their brawling style that breaks down whatever's in front of them. Their strengths created a cohesive force that would go on to win the Gemini Tag Team Championships in Volume One with their tag team finishing move, as well as earn Denis Ryley a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Now as tag team champions, they plan on building their legacy, creating an unstoppable force.
